Ideas for macro photography
Here are some of the macro photography ideas I implement when I'm in search of the perfect picture.
Finding a subject for macro photography is easy because any subject with a macro view will bring out a different perspective all together. However finding the perfect subject can be a little bit troublesome but the efforts are worth it.

Here are some of the subjects I always search for when I have a macro lens set up
- INSECTS
Painted Grasshopper |
Hover-fly |
Where to find them?
Go to nearby garden, and try to search for something fascinating. Honestly, it is very difficult to predetermine what you are going to capture, because you are not aware what you are going find.
Therefore I try to find plants whose leaves have holes. This signifies that some insects like caterpillar or beetles might be feeding on these leaves and I might be lucky to find some species here.

- FLOWERS
Lotus |
Flowers can be very colourful, and a perfect subject for macro photography.
Try to focus the center of the flower where the colour emerges and let it fade towards the corners of your photograph.

- MOTHS

Where to find them?
Moth 2 |
I have documented and photographed a variety of moths with the least effort to find them. Well, most of you might not be comfortable with the technique is use, but then again without this technique finding them can be difficult.
Turn on the tube lights of your room at night and keep your windows open .Moths are attracted to light and if you’re lucky, within sometime you will see a couple of insects flying in your room. These moths generally sit near the tube light which is a boon for you. With the perfect light conditions, just place your camera against the wall and start clicking.

Generally used as a hair spray in any salon, its very easy to find in any market.
Spray water on any subject like plant, flowers etc and enhance your image.
This is a must tool for every macro photographer on the field.

Laziness will never provide you professional results. So suck it up and start carrying a tripod.
A tripod will guarantee sharp photographs with quality detailing. A macro tripod will make your work easier.
